Katherine T. Bjorness

Katherine Theresa Neville Kopf Bjorness died peacefully in Westerly on April 2, 2015 at the age of 94. She resided in Peacedale House for 15 years. Katherine was born on October 15, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY to Mary (Carroll) and Timothy Neville. She was a graduate of Bishop McDonald High School and Fulton Montgomery Community College. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Kristin Bjorness Sodhi (Manbir) of Wakefield, RI, sons Robert Kopf (Vicki) of NC., Jeffrey Kopf (Karen) of NC and William (Joan) of NY. Grandchildren, Elizabeth Kopf, Tucker and Tyler Kopf, Brendon Bjorness Murano (Katie), Hilary Sodhi (Adam Fontannaz), Kristin Sodhi. Great grandchild Dylan Murano. Nephews and nieces, Kevin Flanagan (Mary Ellen), Kathleen Mary Warren (Tom); Balbir and Meenu Arora; great nephews and nieces, Brian and Danny Flanagan; Elizabeth Warren; Sunny and Viru Arora; and many friends and family throughout the world. Katherine was predeceased by family members Mary and Timothy Neville; brothers, John and Timothy, sister, Eleanor, Ernest Kopf and Wallace Bjorness. Katherine was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Narragansett. There will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Apple Rehab, Watch Hill for making these past few years happy and comfortable.
