Kate Kearney

Catherine “Kate” Kearney (Stolle) of South Kingstown, peacefully entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 17th. Born in Providence, RI she was the daughter of the late Emile and Joanna Stolle and the beloved wife of the late James D. Kearney for 53 years. Kate was a kind and caring person who was known for inviting everyone in for a ‘cold drink’. She was an avid painter and enjoyed spending time at the Galilee beach club. She was a longtime volunteer at South County Hospital, where she and her husband were recognized for their outstanding dedication. She is survived by her lifetime best friend, Margaret (Peggy) Smith, her son Andrew, daughter, Joan, grandchildren Kayla & Will, and several close nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Connie Lawrence, Mary Kavanagh, Karl & John Stolle. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 24th at St. Thomas Moore at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
