Obituary

Karen S. Hogan, 58, of Wakefield, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at South County Hospital after a six-month battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Richard Hogan, with whom she shared 30 wonderful years. She was the proud mother of the late Angel Hogan.

For 20 years, Karen devoted her life to caring for Angel, who was truly her pride and joy! Nothing made her happier than attending his Unified Basketball games and watching his participation in Special Olympics. She also loved to take walks along the Narragansett seawall. She and Richard enjoyed sitting at Camp Cronin watching the world go by them. Karen was a very private person, stubborn to the end. If you were blessed to call her friend, there was nothing she wouldn't do for you.

In addition to her loving husband, Richard Hogan, she is survived by her mother, Janice Snow; her daughters, Karen & Teresa Tributino; her brothers, George Mumford and John Snow; her sisters Lisa Handy, and Jeannie Reed, and their families, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman Mumford, and proud mother of the late Angel Joseph Mumford.

Her funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd, Kingston, RI 02881. Visitation will begin at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. The Mass will be livestreamed on the CTK website: www.ctkri.org
