Julia M. White, 92, of Wakefield, passed away Wednesday. She was the beloved wife for 71 years of the late Raymond White, Sr. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Julia (Kinnecom) Whaley. Mrs. White was employed at the Kenyon Peace & Dye Mill for many years, and after retiring she enjoyed wintering in Florida. More recently she enjoyed her weekly trips to the South Kingstown Senior Center. She is survived by four children, Julia Reynolds and her husband Harold of Richmond, Raymond White, Jr. and his wife Eleanor of South Kingstown, Carol Adams and her husband Robert of South Kingstown, and Robert White and his wife Paula of Charlestown; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel Whaley of South Kingstown and George Whaley of South Kingstown. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield Monday from 10-11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery, Hope Valley. The family kindly requests not to send flowers instead make a donation to a charity of choice, in her memory.
