Julia V. Weaver

Jullia V. Weaver, 102, of Shannock, passed away March 23, 2014. She was the wife of the late Millard K. Weaver. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Bodzioch) Lukowicz. Mrs. Weaver was a clerk for the US Post Office in Shannock and Kenyon for twenty-five years before retiring. She played on the famous West End Girls of Crompton Baseball and Basketball Teams and was a member of the former Falcon Club. She leaves her daughter Betty Prescott and her husband Walter of Shannock. She was the grandmother of Michael Prescott and his wife Pamela and Robert Prescott and his wife Mary; great grandmother of Christopher, Bethany and the late Sara. She was the sister of the late Walter, Stanley, Frank, Vincent, Joseph, Leon, and Peter Lukowicz, Blanche Mattias and Ovina Pyszka. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 28, at 12:00 p.m. in the Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman Street, Providence, RI 02906.
