Judith Congdon Taft, 95, of South Kingstown, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. and Ann Bertha (Congdon) Taft.
Judy was a proud member of many organizations, including: the Mayflower Descendants of NH, the John Howland Society, Daughters of Founders and Patriots America, Daughters of Colonial Wars, Daughters of American Colonists, Daughters of the War of 1812, Boston Museum, Pettaquamscutt History Society, and Newport Historical Society. She worked as a hostess and supervisor for Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia for many years. Judy also worked as a secretary for the South Kingstown School Department for 10+ years before retiring. In her spare time, she loved a good game of bridge with her friends. Judy was very determined and willing to help others. She was a lifelong faithful member of The Church of the Ascension and will be greatly missed by many.
She was the sister of the late Jane Colarulli and the aunt of the late Deborah L. Colarulli.
A graveside service will be held Friday, December 23, 2022 at 2pm in Old Fernwood Cemetery in Kingston.
