Judith A. Babcock

Judith A. Babcock, 75, passed away Monday October 14, 2024 at the Apple in Uncasville Orchard Groce in Uncasville, CT. Born in Norwich, CT, she was the daughter of the late John E. Babcock, Jr. and Marjorie (Whitham) Babcock.

Judy was a member of the AM Legion Post 39 Auxiliary, Sons of Union Veterans of Civil War and a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 25. She was a historical writer for many years, writing articles for the South County Independent. Judy was the first woman Grand Marshall for the Wakefield Veterans Day parade.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Torgovec, two grandchildren, Hunter Torgovec and Christopher Torgovec, Jr. and a great grandchild, Gavyn Green.

A funeral home service will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Wakefield. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM
