Joyce Anne Gunn

Joyce Anne (Walmsley) Gunn, 60, of Fountain, North Carolina, formerly of Providence and South Kingstown, died Friday February 26th, 2010 at home in North Carolina. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of Anne F. (Perry) Walmsley of Warwick and the late William E. Walmsley Sr. Mrs. Gunn worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Cardiac Care at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Providence and various nursing homes throughout the state of RI. She was a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe and enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, pottery and sewing. She was the mother of Rebecca Porter of Warwick, RI, Rachel Corbett of Reidsville, NC, Claudia Gunn of Chapel Hill, NC, Gordon Gunn of Reidsville, NC and Daniel Gunn of Fountain, NC; sister of William E. Walmsley Jr. of Warwick and the late Carla Gundy and grandmother of six. A Memorial service will be held Saturday March 6th, 2010 at 4:00 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
