Joyce E. Gray

Joyce E. Gray, 84, of Narragansett passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Donald I. Gray, Sr. She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Ann Scripsack and step-daughter of Stanley Scripsack. During Joyce's life, she was a long time resident of Narragansett, retiring there with her husband after vacationing in Sand Hill Cove for over 25 years. Family always came first and her door was always open to anyone who stopped by. She loved spending time with family and friends. Joyce was always busy gardening, cooking, or sewing. She was a member of the Narragansett Senior Center. Joyce is survived by her son Donald I. Gray Jr. and his wife Leslie of St. Cloud, Fla.; her daughters Cheryl A. Boyd and her husband Rick of Narragansett, Rhode Island; Pamela J. Emma of Chicopee, Massachusetts. and Heather Gray-Merrill and her husband John of Danbury, Conn.; her brother Teddy Scripsack of Cranston, her sister Paula Beaton in, Chepachet, RI, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. The family will have a private gathering to celebrate her life.
