Joyce A. Cady

Joyce A. Cady, 82, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday. She was the beloved wife of Donald F. "Ted" Cady" for 59 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Barlow) Yatcewicz. Mrs. Cady was employed at CCRI, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Oaklawn Community Baptist Church for over 40 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed travelling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, John A. Laurendeau of Bar Harbor, ME, and a daughter Deborah J. Cady of Bar Harbor, ME; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Donna L. Rosenfeld, and sister of the late Dorothy Sartini. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, on Friday from 11 am - 12 Noon, followed by a service at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
