Josie Joanne Fox

Josie (Joanne) Fox, 62, of Peace Dale and formerly Block Island, passed away on October 19, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She will be remembered for her kind smile and generous nature by a community to whom she gave so much. Whether searching out sea glass on the beach or decorating memories in a scrapbook, her enthusiasm for life was genuine and infectious. Dedicated employee of the South Kingstown school system for 24 years, she worked as aide, administrative assistant, secretary, and accountant, touching the lives of both children and adults along the way. At Peace Dale Congregational Church, she served as president, deacon, youth group advisor, and over the years shared her musical talents with bell choir, choir, and praise team. Born in Danielson, CT, she was the daughter of Jane Frechette and the late Rene Frechette. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Robert Fox, her son Gabe Morse, her son Sam Fox and his wife Lee Cowan, her grandchildren, Ciela and Sylvan Rohmann Fox, her son Doug Fox and his wife Jenny Rute, and her son Nick. She was sister to John and Guy Frechette, and beloved aunt of ten nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 25th from 3 to 7 p.m. at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI. A Service will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 11 a.m. at Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia Street, Peace Dale, RI, with a reception to follow at the church.
