Josephine Marie Stanton

Josephine Marie (Wilcox) Stanton, 82, of Charlestown passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Anita Babcock (Hull) Wilcox. She was the loving wife of the late Albert L. Stanton, Jr.

Born in Charlestown, RI, Josephine (Marie as she was known) was a proud member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, crocheting, and going on rides.

Josephine is survived by her children, Chief Sachem Anthony Dean Stanton, Ralph Barry Stanton and Gregory Stewart Stanton, all of Charlestown.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her son, Todd Aaron Stanton and her brothers Richard W. Wilcox Jr., and George H. Wilcox.

Her funeral service was held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at First Hopkinton Cemetery in Hopkinton, RI.
