Joseph Michael Turino

Joseph Michael Turino, 90, of Charlestown RI, died on October 7, 2010. He was the beloved husband of the late Betty and is survived by children Susanne, Thomas, Michael and Stephen, daughters in law Barbi and Amy, siblings Rita Moore and Dr. Gerard Turino and 7 grandchildren. He was born in NYC to the late Lucy and Michael Turino, graduated from Colgate University class of '41 and served as Lieutenant in the US Navy from 1941-46. He was a principal in Wm. Turino Co. and later, J.M. Turino Co. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Tuxedo Club for 40 years. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi at 114 High St, Wakefield RI 02879 on Wed., Oct. 13 at 1 PM., followed by a gathering at his home after the service to celebrate his life. Burial will be at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ the following day at 12:30 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to nrdconline.org or southcountyconservancy.org.
