Joseph M. Trudeau

Joseph M. Trudeau,68, of Charlestown, RI, died Saturday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Shigeko Trudeau; father of Raymond J. Trudeau, Jacqueline M. Gagnon, Denise J. Collins and Lorraine Y. Trudeau; brother of Pierre and Marcel Trudeau, Michelle Strileckis, Renee LaFreniere and the late Claude Trudeau; and grandfather of five. He also leaves many nephews and nieces. Born in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late Andre and Gertrude (Meunier) Trudeau. Mr. Trudeau was a U.S. Marine Veteran. He worked as a director of food services for Ella Grasso Regional Center and Southbury Training School both in CT, before retiring. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Rd., Charlestown. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Donations in his memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
