Joseph C. Lefebvre, Sr., 86, of North Kingstown, formerly of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at home. He was the husband of the late Aline Y. (Bedard) Lefebvre. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Louis and Yvonne (Rogers) Lefebvre.
Joseph was the owner of the Woonsocket Auto Salvage for many years before retiring. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. Joseph loved working with wood making many memorable toys for his grandchildren; loved clamming and was well known for his stuffies and chowder and loved spending time with his loving wife Aline.
He is survived by his children, Joseph Lefebvre, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Uxbridge, MA, Melissa Poe and her husband Chris of North Kingstown and David Lefebvre and his wife Rhonda of FL; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Ethan, Caitlyn, Courtney Lefebvre, Cameron and Cassidy Poe; sisters, Annette Lee of Narragansett and Rita Conte of Stoughton, MA and his brother, Jerry Lefebvre of Cumberland. He was the brother of the late Leo, Gilbert, Frank Lefebvre, Claire Crudele and Doris Keyser.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 9 – 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Rd., North Kingstown. Burial with military honors will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, 02904.
