Joseph Donnelly

Joseph Donnelly, 82, Husband of Marjorie (Cunniff) Donnelly; father of Kelly Ann Gordon and her husband Edward Michael, Joseph T. Donnelly, Terrence P. Donnelly and his wife Eileen and Mary Elizabeth Boivin and her husband Mark; brother of William and Charles Donnelly; grandfather of fifteen. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Henry T. and Abby (Dunn) Donnelly and brother of the late Abbie Webster, Rose Arundale, Jane Anderson, Theresa Hawkins, Henry Donnelly, John Donnelly and Edward Donnelly. Joe was a lineman for Narragansett Electric before retiring. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Joe was a communicant and former choir member of St. Francis Church, enjoyed singing and all music. He was a referee and football coach, a member of Sons of Irish Kings and Green Hill Beach Club. The funeral will be Friday 9:00 a.m. from Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
