Joseph E. Daly, Jr.

Joseph Edmund Daly, Jr. (Jed) , age 79, of Wakefield, Rhode Island, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Jed was the beloved husband of Candace Daly for 51 years.

Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Jed was the eldest son of Dr. Joseph E. Daly and Jacqueline (Dunfey) Daly (pre-deceased), and his stepmother, Regina Daly.

Besides his wife, Jed leaves behind his three children, Jacqueline (Daly) Boyd, and her husband, Spencer; Joseph E. Daly, III (Buddy); and Fletcher C. Daly, his wife Jade, and their son, Declan. Also, his siblings: Kate, Kevin, and Barbara, and pre-deceased by his siblings, John, Terrance, and Charles.

Jed was a devout Catholic. He loved his family first and foremost. Jed was a dedicated member of the men of St. Joseph Prayer Group. He loved the ocean and walks on the beach, and especially catching some great waves at Narragansett Town Beach!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St, Wakefield, RI. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Wakefield.
