Joseph W. Chesebro

Joseph W. Chesebro, 89, died Sunday at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Angela (Palmese) Chesebro. Born in Jamestown, he was the son of the late Albert H. and Bessie E. (Walker) Chesebro. Mr. Chesebro was a WW II US Army veteran. He was a firefighter for Davisville and a heavy equipment operator at Quonset for many years. In his spare time he was a charter fisherman. Joe and his wife Angie enjoyed 35 years retired, residing both in FL and RI. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Rosemary Geaber and her husband Joseph of Wakefield; a son, David Ferraro and his wife Rebecca of Evans, GA; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Jayne Clarke and Elizabeth Garlick. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM in St. Matthew Episcopal Church, 87 Narragansett Ave, Jamestown. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday 4-7 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
