Joseph S. Cabral

Joseph S. Cabral, 85, of Matunuck passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at home. He was the husband of Claire K. (Gill) Cabral for 64 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Manuel and Irene (Carvelho) Cabral. Mr. Cabral was a sales manager for Prudential Insurance Co. for 25 years; a Korean War Navy Veteran; a member of the Matunuck Community Association; an avid golfer; cabinet maker; was known as the “Matunuck Beach Carpenter” and took a great interest in his granddaughters activities and interests. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Cheryll K. Catallozzi of Lincoln and three granddaughters, Alisha K., Kerrin A. and Trisha L. Catallozzi. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at 9 am from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in St. Romuald Chapel, Atlantic Ave., Matunuck. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours Tuesday 9-10 am.
