Joseph J. Borrelli, 38, of Narragansett, RI, formerly of Waterbury, CT, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, at his home in Breakwater Village. He was the beloved son of Paula (Ostrom) and Joe Borrelli and brother to Sheri Borrelli and Lisa Bacon, of CT. Joseph had a love of life, family and friends that was evident to all who were blessed to know him. His love of gardening and landscaping, his Italian and Irish family traditions, his love of animals -- all were important as he ventured through life. Most important, was cultivating and maintaining relationships with his family and friends which was evident to all who knew and loved him – if life had a social director, Joseph would certainly have had that position! Besides his parents and sisters, Joseph is survived by two nieces, Sophia and Cecelia of CT and his grandmother, Phyllis Borrelli, in RI. He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Fanny Ostrom and John Borrelli of CT. He was blessed with many close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will carry him in their hearts forever and remember him as someone who could always bring a smile to their face. Calling hours will be 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Friday, August 16, with a prayer service at 4:00 at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home on 88 Columbia Street, in Wakefield, RI. Burial will be private.
