John M. Wilson

John M. Wilson, 73, of Narragansett, died Sunday. He was the husband of the late Lucy A. (Bapties) Wilson. Born in Bowling Green, KY, he was a son of the late Marvin and Jo Ella (Marshall) Wilson. Mr. Wilson was employed for the State of Rhode Island for 26 years, retiring in 2006 at the URI Bay Campus in Narragansett. He is survived by four children, David Wilson of Johnston, Jo Ann Wilson of San Francisco, CA, William E. Wilson of Narragansett, and Lydia Wilson of Rahway, NJ; five grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Shealy of Florence, SC. He was the brother of the late Sarah Massey and Becky Lanham. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM.
