John W. Reisert, Jr.

John W. Reisert, Jr., 93, of South Pier Road, Narragansett, died Saturday January 9th. He was the husband of the late Roberta M. (Burke) Reisert. Born in East Greenwich, he was a son of the late John W. Sr. and Katherine (Neilan) Reisert. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Rhode Island School of Design. Mr. Reisert was a Mechanical Engineer for Brown & Sharpe. He was a Fourth Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus, a volunteer at South County Nursing Center for 21 years, serving as a Eucharistic Minister for the past 10 years, and he was a former member of the East Greenwich Yacht Club, where he enjoyed small yacht sailing. He is survived by three daughters; Colleen Chappell and her husband Gary of Wakefield, Patricia Runyon of Tampa, FL, Susan Newton of Derry, NH; a son, Joseph Reisert and his wife Melody of Las Vegas, NV; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a brother Donald Reisert of Maryland. He was the father of the late James Reisert and brother of the late Ambrose Reisert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday January 16th at 10 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich.
