John R. Jack Poland

John R. "Jack" Poland, 64, of Wakefield, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 24th. He was the beloved husband of Sally (Eaton) Poland for 40 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of Muriel (Whitaker) Poland of Riverside and the late Richard D. Poland. Mr. Poland was an electrician and organizer for the IBEW Local 99. He enjoyed golfing and was a New England Patriots fan. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two children, Justin Poland and his wife Danielle of Richmond, and Ashley Turner and her husband Brian of North Attleboro; a grandson, Brenton Turner; and four siblings, Dennis Poland and his wife Susan of North Attleboro, Patricia Seddon and her husband David of Rumford, Timothy Poland and his wife Joy of Foster, and Thomas Poland, of Riverside; many nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, John McGillivray. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Saturday January 6th from 11 am 1 pm, followed by a service. Burial will be private.
