John W. Hazard

John W. Hazard, 63, of Wakefield, died Wednesday. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Earl W. and Nina E. Hazard. Mr. Hazard was employed at the University of Rhode Island for over 20 years, retiring as Head Custodian in 2000. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He is survived by three children, Tonya Hazard of Wakefield, Stacy Hazard of Wakefield, and David Hazard of West Warwick; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Yvonne Pantelone of Westerly and Margaret Hazard of Wakefield. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Tuesday from 11-12, followed by a service at 12 Noon. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
