John W. Hall

June 29, 1950 — September 21, 2025

John William Hall, 75 of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI.


Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late John Laurence and Gertrude (Toth) Hall.


John worked in the telecommunications industry for over 30 years. He was a life member of the Elks, served on the House Committee and was the past Treasurer. He enjoyed playing golf and was a long-term member of Laurel Lane Country Club. He also enjoyed listening to music and was an avid fan of the Beach Boys.


He is survived by his daughter Laura Ockenfels of Nehalem, Oregon and her husband Tom, grandchildren Connor and Freya; two sisters, Deborah Hall of Charleston, SC and Hilary Jansson and her husband Dennis of Narragansett; brother Mark Hall of Narragansett as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Thomas J. Hall.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11 am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4-6 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd. Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
