John M. Goodwin

John M. Goodwin, 79, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 13, 2018. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John F. Goodwin and Gertrude (Larvin) Goodwin. John was employed as a Pipe Fitter in the Local 51 Union, before retiring. In his retirement he kept himself busy with woodworking projects, yardwork, and spending time with family. He is survived by his children, Laura E. Goodwin McCallig and John R. Goodwin; grandchildren Nicole McCallig Burdick, William McCallig, Megan McCallig, and Abygail Goodwin; great-grandchildren Taylor, Sydney, and Owen; his friend Margaret McGuire; former wife Nancy (Holley) Goodwin; and sister Lauretta Harvey. Visiting Hours will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 3pm-5pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
