John Alexander Gadzik

John Alexander Gadzik, 83, of Narragansett, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Florence (Mazzali) Gadzik for 58 years. Born in New Britain, CT, he was the son of the late John and Della (Bielski) Gadzik. Mr. Gadzik served in the U.S Navy and was a long time employee of the State of Connecticut as a mechanical supervisor. John was a decorated graduate of the School of Hard Knocks. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving hunting and fishing. He caught many trophy fish and is now being laid to rest with the best catch of his life his wife, Flossie He is survived by his children Tom Gadzik, Lynne Knight and her husband Ray, Charles Gadzik and his wife Cynthia; four grandchildren, one great grandson, Tyler and sisters Linda, Diane, and Doris. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 10 am-12pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield with a burial to follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
