John E. Jack Fogerty, Jr.

John E. "Jack" Fogerty,” Jr., 80, of Narragansett, died unexpectedly Thursday. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John E. and Monica (Sullivan) Fogerty. Mr. Fogerty enjoyed singing and was an Emeritus member of the choir at Our Lady of Mercy Church, East Greenwich and St. Michael’s Church, Providence. He is survived by two sisters, Margaret King of Dartmouth, MA and Patricia Malley of Warwick; a brother, Paul Fogerty of Narragansett; a sister in law, Joan Fogerty of Narragansett; as well as many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday at 9:45 a.m. at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. .
