John Louis Faccio, Sr.

John L. Faccio, Sr “Giovanni”, 92, of Charlestown, RI, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Westerly Hospital. He was the loving husband of Lillian (Dooley) Faccio for 67 years. Mr. Faccio was a warehouse superintendent for Genovese Mason Material Co. in Stamford, Ct for 40 years before retiring. He was a fabulous cook and loved entertaining; loved gardening, his gardens were meticulous, often referred to as Faccio Park; enjoyed playing poker; and traveled the world with his loving wife. Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Cynthia A. Faccio of Waterbury, CT, Susan M. Faccio of Stamford, CT and John L. Faccio, Jr., his wife Gina and their son, Alexander, of Trumbull, CT; and two sisters, Maria Teresa Peralta and Carla Faccio in Argentina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 3, 2017, at 10 am at St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck School House Rd., Charlestown, RI. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Sunday, July 2, 2017, 2-4 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
