John David Evans

John D. Evans, 83, of Narragansett, passed away Monday. He was the husband of the late Jean (Collier) Evans. Born in La Grande, Oregon, he was a son of the late Gerald and Mildred (Smith) Evans. Mr. Evans spent much of his life on the ocean. He served honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. After being discharged from the service, he became a radio officer in the Merchant Maritme industry. He is survived by three children, David Evans, Linda Evans, and Keith Evans all of Warwick. A committal service with military honors will be at 12 Noon Thursday in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
