John P. Duffy, Iii

John P. Duffy III, 48, of Matunuck, died Thursday. He was the beloved son of John P. Jr. and Patricia (Ferrucci) Duffy. Born in Providence, he was a graduate of Smithfield High School. John was a groundskeeper for Carpenter’s Beach Meadow for many years. He enjoyed boating in Potter’s Pond and loved to be around family and friends. John would always help anyone in need and will be missed by many. He was the brother of Walter R. Duffy of Warwick, Michelle A. Duffy and Joseph M. Duffy of FL and loving companion of Paula Gordon of Matunuck. Visiting Saturday April 2, 2011 from 1-2 PM followed by a prayer service at 2:00 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
