John A. Depietro, Jr.

John A. DePietro, Jr., 66, of Wakefield, R.I., passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Warner) DePietro. Born in Herkimer, New York, he was the son of John DePietro Sr. and Celeste (Hadcock) DePietro. He was the brother to Joey DePietro, Rose Mary (DePietro) Brownrigg, and the late Janie (DePietro) Scott. Mr. DePietro served honorably in the United States Coast Guard for many years and then worked as a high-pressue air test engineer for General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut. In his spare time, he enjoyed growing hot peppers, sitting around the fire pit with family and friends, solving puzzles and crossword. He also coached Pop Warner football for many years. Besides his wife Mary he is survived by his three sons, John DePietro III, James DePietro, and Jeff DePietro. He was loved by his three grandchildren, Gian-Luca, Max, and Rose DePietro.
