John Libero Deacutis

John Libero DeAcutis passed away September 6th at the age of 98. Born in Bridgeport CT, a son of John and Eliza DeAcutis, he was predeceased by his brothers Domenic, Louis and Joseph and sisters Rose and Lucy. He was an Army veteran of World War II who served in the Pacific. He came to live in Rhode Island when he married his wife of 55 years, Libera. Together they owned and operated a small bakery in the north end of Providence. He also worked for the post office. A gentle man who was devoted to his family, he was a source of support tempered by principals, grace and humor. He endured the loss of his daughter Loretta. And he will be deeply missed by his children Carol Kaufman and her husband Charles and, Georgia Malsich and her husband James; his grandchildren Eleanor (and Matthew), and Amelia (and Murat), Zachary and Maxwell; and great-grandchildren Cordelia, Joseph and Daphne. Burial will be private.
