John J. Chause

John J. Chause, “ Papa John” 91, of North Kingstown, RI and previous to that a long time resident of Monroe and Sandy Hook CT, passed away December31,2014 at the Woonsocket Health Centre, Woonsocket, RI. Born June 10, 1923 in Torrington, CT one of six children of the late William and Stella (Grzywienska) Czausz. His beloved wife Irene G. Golembeske of fifty one years preceded him in 1999. Loving father to Susan I (Chause) Leach and father-in-law to the late Robert S. Leach of RI and NH and son James J. Chause of NY. Grandfather to Sarah Leach Guilfoyle and her husband Todd J. Guilfoyle, Meghan I. Leach, James J Chause Jr., Kristen Chause, and three Great Grandchildren. His other life passions were baseball, league bowling, camping, fishing, and hunting. He served our country proudly during WW ll in the Navy. He was in many naval campaigns, notably the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. After an honorable discharge he worked for Singer Metrics division of the Singer Company for twenty years then joined Norden a division of United Aircraft with a background in electronics to head many manufacturing projects during his career. A private service will be held in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, his family members request that donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
