Joel Dr. Bodammer

Dr. Joel Bodammer, 71, of South County Trail, West Kingston, died Saturday in Providence. He was the husband of the late Lyle (Snow) Bodammer. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Elmer and Theresa (Henke) Bodammer. Dr. Bodammer received his degree in Marine Biology and had worked for the federal government, most recently at the University of Rhode Island Bay Campus. He was a Vietnam Era Army Veteran attaining the rank of Captain. In his spare time he enjoyed fly fishing and making his own flies. He is survived by two children, Andrew Bodammer of Silver Spring, MD and Kristen Bodammer of Switzerland. At his request, funeral services will be private.
