Joan Griswold Wood, 95, of South Kingstown, passed away peacefully at the St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich. Born in Hartford, Connecticut on January 27, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Bertha Griswold. She is pre-deceased by her husband and best friend Steve Wood. They were married for 59 years.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Wood, Jr., Betty Ann Criscione and Linda Larson, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Joan was the sister of the late Jane Watts and June McCorkle.

Joan cherished her family above all, along with her deep faith in God and her love for Jesus. She found joy and peace in nature, gardening, and birdwatching, and her greatest happiness was being at home, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Her burial will be private.
