Joan F. Tucker

Joan F. Tucker, 81, of Wakefield, died Saturday. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Tucker. Born in Shannock, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lois (Bowler) Pouliot. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the South County Junior Women’s Club and served as their first treasurer, a volunteer at South County Hospital, and enjoyed reading and doing crafts. Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, Lori J. Smith of Stafford, CT, Robert E. Tucker, Jr. of Wakefield, Lisa A. St. George of North Kingstown, and Jason R. Tucker of Narragansett; five grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph F. Pouliot and Vincent B. Pouliot, both of Wakefield; and a sister Judith A. Taft of Wakefield. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Thursday from 4-6 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
