Joan B. Carr

Joan B. Carr (Bridey), 94, of Wakefield passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015. She was the wife of the late Douglas C. Carr. Born in Cambridge, MA, a daughter of the late Herbert M. and Margaret (Ryan) Bridey. Mrs. Carr was an elementary school teacher for the South Kingstown School Department for many years retiring in 1982. She is survived by two daughters, Joan M. Hoag and her husband William of Hampton, NH and Susan C. Davis of Narragansett; her son, Douglas D. Carr and his wife Cynthia of Wakefield; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Charles J., Marion, Margaret and Helen Bridey and Dorothy McCarthy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 10 AM in Christ the King Church, Old North Rd., Kingston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
