Jo-Ann M. Lepore

Jo-Ann M. Lepore, 67, of Charlestown, passed away peacefully on Thursday. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the Late Dr. Percival and Rose (Palange) Barber. Ms. Lepore recently retired from the University of Rhode Island. She loved to travel and lived a good part of her life in Italy, where she had a loving family and made many good friends. Jo-Ann will be remembered as a kind and generous person who touched many lives, and was everyone’s favorite. She is survived by two children, Alexandra Lepore and Christian Lepore, both of Narragansett; two grandchildren, Miriam Lepore and Shawn Perry, Jr.; two sisters, Pam Reasor and Margo Matheson; and her best friend and brother, Robert Reckling. A funeral service will be held Thursday September 24th at 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery Visiting hours are Wednesday, September 23rd from 4-7 pm.
