Jessie F. Mason

Jessie F. Mason, 98, of Wakefield, passed away Sunday. She was the beloved wife of the late George H. Mason, Sr. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Edna (Dimon) Rogers. Mrs. Mason was employed at Fleming’s Department Store and Woolworth’s for many years. She is survived by three children, Shirley M. Farrell of Exeter, Marcia M. Hillberry of Rachel, WV, and George H. Mason of Wakefield; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and a brother David Rogers of South Kingstown. She was the stepmother of the late Barbara (Mason) Shortridge. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours are Tuesday, 5-8 pm.
