Jeannette T. Wyckoff

Jeannette “Bunny” (Traendly) Wyckoff, 76, of Kings Ridge Rd., Wakefield, died Friday, December 17, 2010, at Robert’s Health Centre, North Kingstown, with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of R. George Wyckoff. Born September 8, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jeannette (Chew) Traendly. Mrs. Wyckoff was a homemaker and later an editor for Newsbank Inc. in New Canaan, CT. She was a graduate of Westminster College in PA. She lived in Norwalk, CT, before moving to Wakefield in 1997. Mrs. Wyckoff was an active member of the Peace Dale Congregational Church and volunteered for Seniors Helping Others and the Jonnycake Center. In CT, she was an active member of the United Congregational Church and a volunteer in charge of Red Cross bloodmobiles. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and travel. Most of all, Mrs. Wyckoff cherished time with her family. In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters, Serena A. Wyckoff and her partner Cathy Graham of Port Charlotte, FL, and Denise A. Wyckoff of Stratford, CT; and a sister Cheryl A. Traendly of Santa Rosa, CA. A memorial service will be held at the Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia St., Peace Dale, on Saturday January 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
