Jeanne H. Dittmar Beloved wife, mother & friend Jeanne Helen (Fish) Dittmar,70, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 10 at South Kingstown Rehabilitation & Nursing surrounded by loved ones after living courageously with Alzheimer’s disease for several years. She was predeceased in 2009 by her husband Thomas W. Dittmar, a Point Judith lobsterman, the owner and captain of the F/V Jeanne. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary T. Fish. She grew up in the Conimicut area of Warwick, and attended Veteran's and Pilgrim High Schools. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Quonset Auto Body in North Kingstown, and most recently worked at South County Hospital. Jeanne was an accomplished golfer, loved to travel and enjoyed skiing. She leaves behind three loving children: daughters Kristine Maletta Ferrare and her husband David, Kimberly Iemma and her partner Matthew Wunsch, all of South Kingstown, and her son Ronald Iemma of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as well as five adoring grandchildren: Jacob, Sarah Jeane, and John Maletta, Juliet Lenzo, and Vera Mae Wunsch, all of South Kingstown. She also leaves her sister Janet DiMuccio of Providence, her brother Charles Fish and his wife Jane of Lincoln, her brother-in-law Jim Casey of Warwick, and was predeceased by her sister Joyce Casey of Warwick. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and their children. Jeanne's sweet smile, kindness, and gentle spirit will be missed by many. Calling hours will be at Avery-Storti Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 14 from 12 to 2 p.m. Burial will be Monday, Aug. 15 at 12 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
