Jeanne F. Carpenter

Jeanne F. Carpenter, 79, of Kingstown Rd., Peace Dale, died Wednesday at South County Hospital. She was the wife of Eugene Carpenter. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth (Neal) Corbett. Mrs. Carpenter was a Home Health Aide for many years and previously worked at U.R.I. Bay Campus for several years. She was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. She enjoyed cooking, reading, ceramics and collecting teddy bears. She was the mother of Charles R. Carpenter, Elizabeth C. McPherson, David E. Carpenter and the late Roy N. Carpenter; sister of Carole A. Desmarais, the late Kaye Gilmore and Dorothy Webster; grandmother of seven and great grandmother of four. The funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 1-3 PM.
