Jean M. Wales

Jean M. Wales, 86, of Baldwin Court, passed away July 7, 2014. Born in Providence, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Lennon) Martin. She was the wife of the late Jonathan R. Wales, Sr.; mother of Jonathan and his wife Maureen of Alpharetta, GA, Anne of Douglas, MA, Barbara of Riverside, RI, Jacqueline Wales Langlois and her husband Bruce of Pomfret, CT and Martha Wales of Richmond, VT. She is predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Martin Baker and Barbara Martin Whelan and infant son, Peter. Jean also leaves six grandchildren, Brian Kile, Jonathan Wales, Brendan Wales, Kevin Cafferky, Patrick Cafferky and Erica Kile Davis. Jean was a graduate of Rhode Island College of Education class of 1950. She was a teacher at Peace Dale Elementary for 25 years retiring in 1988. Jean was a former board member of The Prout School, a communicant of St. Thomas More Church for more than 51 years and it's rosary and altar guild. Funeral Friday, July 11th 9:00 a.m. from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street Narragansett.
