Jean Rita Paxton

Jean Rita Paxton, 74, died Saturday at Westerly Hospital. She was the wife of the late James R. Paxton. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ina (Smith) Salisbury. Mrs. Paxton was a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant for the South Kingstown School System for thirty years before retiring. She was the mother of Dawn Hannegan, James Paxton Jr.,William Paxton and Gary Paxton; sister of Clinton Salisbury and Suzanna Davis; grandmother of eight and great grandmother of two. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main St., Wakefield. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
