Jean L. Kroll, 84, of Wakefield, died Sunday. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Kroll. Born in Stroudsburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Josephine (Shenawolf) Bean. Jean was a Registered Nurse in the labor and delivery room for over 25 years at Kent Hospital in Warwick. After retiring she enjoyed traveling, gardening, knitting, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Vadge, Steven and his wife Jane, MariAnne and Bruce; eight grandchildren, Jason, Kali, Caleb, Lindsey, Kristin, Melissa, Trisha and Brian and five great-grandchildren, Anna, Brendan, Samantha, Brianna and Sam; and two sisters, Mary Resh and Joan Brush, both of East Stroudsburg, PA. Visiting hours will be Friday from 1- 3 p.m. at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street followed by a reception at Camden’s Restaurant, 756 Kingstown Road, Wakefield, from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke’s University Health Network, Development Office, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015.
