Jean A. Gardiner

Jean A. Gardiner (Kenyon), 75, of South Kingstown, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013. She was the wife of the late Harry A. Gardiner, Jr. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Earl and Marguerite (Bennett) Kenyon. Mrs. Gardiner was a clerk at the U.S. Naval Base in Newport for many years before retiring. She was also a volunteer at South County Hospital and a member of the Narragansett Senior Center. She is survived by her son, Glen O. Gardiner and his companion Paulette Zinno of Exeter; two daughters, Pamela J. Abate of Attleboro, MA and Peggy A. Gardiner of Exeter; two grandchildren, Danielle and Matthew Abate and a brother, Robert Kenyon in Tennessee. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 11 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Visitation Saturday 10-11 AM. Burial will be private.
