Jay G. Woodmansee

Jay G. Woodmansee, 68, of Narragansett, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015. He was the husband of Wendy (Westcott) Woodmansee for forty years. Jay was a 1965 graduate of South Kingstown High School. He worked as a fisherman out of Pt. Judith for many years. In 1986 he began working maintenance and custodian work for the Narragansett School system for many years before retiring. Jay was a board member of the Pt. Judith Fisherman’s Scholarship Fund for ten years. He enjoyed the beach and ocean, loved dancing and playing pool. Besides his wife he leaves a son, Seth Jarrod Woodmansee; daughters, Shelley Jayne Woodmansee and Wendy Lorine L’Ecuyer-Johnson; grandchildren Cameron and Krystina and a brother Terry Knudson. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday November 7th at 12 Noon at the Oceanside at the Pier, 1 Beach Street, Narragansett. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pt.
