Janice Marie St. John

Janice Marie St. John, 76, of Placida, Florida, and formally of Narragansett, RI passed away peacefully surrounded by her family’s love on Monday, November 17, 2025.

She was the wife of the late Arthur F. St. John for 44 years. Born in Amarillo, TX, and raised in Scituate, MA she was the daughter of the late James H. George and Claire M (Canty) George.

She enjoyed many things in life, including summers spent boating on Narragansett Bay, spending time with friends, and more recently volunteering at Englewood Hospital in Englewood FL. Above all, she cherished spending time with her beloved grandson, Logan.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Jessica Reckner, and son-in-law Jason; grandson, Logan Reckner; brothers, Daniel P. George and wife Kathy, Jay P. George and wife Gretchen; sister-in-law Debra Carnell and husband John; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, James R. George, and sister, Mary George.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4th at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 4th from 9 to 10 a.m. at  Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield.
