Janet L. Wilson

Janet L. (Wright) Wilson, 76, of Narragansett, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017. She was the wife of the late Paul R. Wilson Sr. and the late USMC GySgt. James M. Millen. Born in Narragansett, daughter of the late William "Mickey" J. and Sarah "Holly" (Jones) Wright. Janet was a library clerk for Narragansett High School. She was a member and past treasurer of Mettatuxett Yacht Club, past president of staff NCO Club in Guantanamo Bay Naval Base Cuba, and past Cub Master of Pack 1 Narragansett. She was also an avid dancer right up till the end. She was the mother of Michael J. Millen Sr., John W. Millen, Tina L. (Millen) Keister, Paul R. Wilson Jr., Laura A. (Wilson) Wilcox, Faith A. (Wilson) Larsen, Suzanne M. (Wilson) Rodgers, Glenn A. Wilson, and the late Deborah E. (Wilson) Kershaw. Grandmother to 23 and great-grandmother of 36 and great-great grandmother to 7. She was the youngest sister of Zella M. Westcott, Ruth C. McQuade, Kenneth M. Wright, and the late: John M., George H., William E., Frank J., Richard A., Warren B., Charles E. "Ted" Wright, and Catherine "Kay" Sherman. A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 9, 2017 at 10 am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 from 4-7pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home.
